HOW TO FIX OPEN STREET MAPS
What Happened? Microsoft decided to end the life of IE. We had to find a FIX install because we used IE for mapping. You do not UNINSTALL anything. Follow these instructions.
BEFORE YOU INSTALL THE NEW EXE FILE
DOWNLOAD THIS DROPBOX TRANSFER EXE TO YOUR FLASH DRIVE
Install on the Instructor and Student stations using the appropriate pull-down menu for each station.
This install will put a default ALI addressing called ANYTOWN on the stations and default Call Types and Responses/Units.
Your custom ADDRESSING OR CALL TYPES will need to be put on the stations after the installation. Email us if you don’t have your custom files, and we will forward a link to them. After installation, you will use the APP SIMULATION DATABASE MANAGER to put your custom addressing or call types on the stations. Directions on how to use this app are on your 9-1-1 Reality Instructor under Customizing.
You can also contact us; and we will walk you through the process. 253.435.0911
Is the station asking for a KEY? Each station has a KEY matching the computer, allowing the software to connect. On rare occasions, the key is lost upon installation – and you will be asked to enter the key. Hopefully, your stations do not ask for a key. If this does happen, don’t panic – you can find it in Program Files/ARTComms, or we have the key 253.435.0911 or support@911trainer.com.
